COMPASS ROSE

A psychogeography of campus

Maps orient us in space and lead us to places we’ve never been before. The compass rose is a brilliant star that leads us in infinite directions and towards endless possibilities.

A virtual psychogeography tour, Compass Rose, moves through a series of site-specific creative reflections by seventeen Melbourne University students at a specific time when they can only access their geographical points via their psychic imaginations. These artworks explore the psychology and emotion of transitional, forgotten and peripheral spaces on campus.
